Anthony Romeo Santos nació el 21 de julio de 1981 en El Bronx, Nueva York, Estados Unidos. Su pasión por la música comenzó desde muy pequeño cuando participaba en el coro de la iglesia local y empezó a componer sus propias canciones. Desde siempre fue fanático de la bachata, aun cuando no era un género popular.

Nació en una familia de clase baja y trabajadora en la que su padre era albañil de origen dominicano y su madre era una ama de casa que llegó desde Puerto Rico. Se crió junto a su hermana y sus recuerdos estaban repletos de cultura latina. Con mucho esfuerzo logró acercarse al mundo de la música y cumplir sus objetivos. 

EARLY LIFE

Anthony Romeo Santos was born on July 21, 1981 in The Bronx, New York, United States. His passion for music began at a very young age when he participated in the choir of the local church and began to compose his own songs. He has always been a fan of bachata, even though it was not a popular genre.

She was born in a low-income, working-class family where her father was a mason of Dominican origin and her mother was a housewife who came from Puerto Rico. She grew up with her sister and her memories were full of Latin culture. With much effort managed to approach the world of music and fulfill his objectives.

JUVENTUD

Los inicios musicales de Romeo se remontan desde los 12 años de edad cuando comenzó cantando en el coro de la iglesia. Desde esa edad compone sus propias canciones.  Antes de formar Aventura admito que era un asco y todo lo que cantaba no era más que basura, cantaba en un grupo llamado Los Tinellers (que hace referencia la pronunciación de la palabra anglosajona, "teenagers", que significa adolescentes), sacando un disco llamado “Trampa de amor” con tan sólo 14 años.

A los 14 años dio sus primeros pasos al ser parte de un grupo llamado "Los Tinellers", con quienes llegó a sacar un disco. Poco a poco fue haciéndose más conocido en el ambiente hasta que se convirtió en el compositor y cantante principal de la agrupación de bachata "Aventura", la cual formó con dos de sus mejores amigos. Junto a ellos logró popularizar este ritmo a nivel internacional, llevando algunas de sus canciones a los primeros puestos de las listas de los rankings latinos y de Europa. 

YOUNG LIFE

Romeo's musical beginnings can be traced back to the age of 12 when he began singing in the church choir. From that age he composed his own songs. Before forming Adventure I admit that I was disgusting and everything I sang was nothing but trash, I sang in a group called Los Tinellers (which refers to the pronunciation of the English word "teenagers", meaning teenagers) Called "Trap of love" with only 14 years.

La vida de Romeo Santos, ha fructificado ampliamente en torno a la música. Se ha convertido en un compositor respetado y ha cosechado una gran fortuna en torno a su profesión.

Romeo Santos con tan solo 15 años de edad ya tenía cierta afinidad por el ritmo bachata un ritmo propio de República Dominicana, cabe destacar que aun este ritmo no había tenido el despegue que ha alcanzado durante los últimos años y que ya está diversificado por todo el mundo. En su historia Romeo Santos narra cómo empezó su trayectoria y su pasión por la bachata, su ídolo el mayimbe de la bachata Anthony Santos.

Romeo santos estando el grupo aventura componía sus propios temas a pesar de que era la figura principal del grupo, esto le dio una gran ventaja para lanzarse al mundo artístico como solista. En abril del 2011 Romeo anunció su separación del grupo aventura para lanzar su carrera artística como solista. El dia 9 de mayo del año 2011 Romeo Santos lanza su primer disco titulado “You” de su primer álbum musical titulado “Fórmula 1”. Y seguidamente en el 2014 saca un nuevo álbum titulado “Formula 2”.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Vida privada

En lo personal, su vida sufrió algunos reveses. A los 19 años se enteró que su novia Samanta Medina estaba embarazada. Debido a su juventud y a sus deseos de triunfar, Romeo se desentendió de esta situación y no se hizo cargo durante los dos primeros años de vida del niño.

Después, cambió de actitud y se casó con la madre del niño, para hacer lo correcto y darle una familia al pequeño Alex. Y a pesar de que el matrimonio se disolvió, ambos mantienen una buena relación por el bien del muchacho. En ese entonces se había casado con su nueva pareja, una joven puertorriqueña de nombre Samanta Medina. Pero a medida que su carrera crecía y se hacía más conocido, el se sentía más solo y desamparado. Luego de unos años el matrimonio se terminó y Romeo volvió a estar en soledad. El dominicano prefiere mantener su vida al margen para que no afecte su relación. Puso todas sus fortalezas en avanzar en el terreno de la música y no paró hasta lograrlo. Cosechó grandes éxitos de la mano de "Aventura", mientras él se destacaba como compositor para otros grandes de la música como Wisin & Yandel, Thalía y Don Omar. La banda ganó varios premios internacionales y hasta fueron invitados a cantar en la Casa Blanca de Estados Unidos para el presidente Barak Obama y su familia.  Con una infancia y una juventud difícil, pero con un futuro muy prometedor, Romeo Santos siempre supo que su momento llegaría. Hoy se codea con los grandes de la música y su fortuna suma ceros con cada nueva canción que compone. Un verdadero rey de la bachata que deja claro que: el que persigue los sueños siempre los encuentra. 

PRIVATE LIFE

for the boy's sake. At that time he had married his new partner, a Puerto Rican girl named 

Samantha Medina. But as his career grew and became better known, he felt more lonely 

and helpless. After a few years the marriage was over and Romeo was back in solitude.
